The Institute serves mature, lifelong learners in their pursuit of personal transformation and professional development. Students, who are referred to as "colleagues", take an active role in the learning process as well as in those of the cohort community.

At The Graduate Institute, academic rigor and the pursuit of knowledge are vital to the development of the whole person. Community learning provides the basis for shared understanding and construction of knowledge.

Our Faculty are dedicated scholars who move their fields of academic study forward. They facilitate learning through dialogue, seminars, experiential exercises, online communication, and guidance of internships, mentorships, and culminating projects.
