| Application Procedures All applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. Bachelor’s degree equivalents from recognized foreign universities are accepted. Those without degrees who would enroll as auditors are welcome to participate as if they were degree candidates. Students are responsible for the submission of all application materials. Applicants will be notified as soon as possible concerning any decision regarding their application. Please note that early submission of some materials, such as transcripts, is advised since some may take several weeks to arrive. Applications and all supporting materials are to be sent directly to: The Graduate Institute’s Admissions Office at 171 Amity Road, Bethany, CT 06524. |
| Completion of Application File The following items must be sent to the Admissions Office in order to complete an application: - Completed Application Form
- Application Fee of $60 payable to The Graduate Institute (non-refundable)
- Current Resume
- Two Letters of Recommendation
Letters should attest to the applicant’s academic and intellectual abilities and/or achievements. - Official Transcripts from Previously Attended Colleges and Universities
Transcripts must be sent to The Institute directly from previously attended institutions in a sealed envelope. - Statement of Intent, Vision and Expectations
Applicants are required to submit a two-page essay expressing their intent for enrolling in, vision of participating in, and expectations of personal development through the graduate program. - Proof of Immunization
Connecticut Law requires that all degree-seeking applicants born after December 31, 1956 must be protected against Measles and Rubella. This is a requirement for admission. Candidates born after December 31, 1956 must provide proof of two measles vaccinations. One must have been administered on or after January 1, 1969 and the second must have been administered on or after January 1, 1980. - Interview
Interviews may be conducted in person or via telephone. |
| Incomplete Applications: After one year, incomplete applications will be removed from active status. Transfer of Credits: The cohort nature of The Graduate Institute’s programs precludes transfer of credits. |
