| | Conscious Evolution A humanistic endeavor at its core, the Conscious Evolution program explores the integration of science and spirituality as the foundation for affecting personal and global change. Participants identify patterns of transformation in biological, technological and ecological systems as they examine the complex relationships among the human mind, the environment, and the evolution of culture. | |
| | | Conscious Evolution: Archetypal Cosmology A 12-credit certificate program, the Archetypal Cosmology track leads to the M.A. in Conscious Evolution. The program studies correlations between cyclical alignment of the planets and archetypal patterns in human experience. Participants examine how the evolutionary intent of the cosmos operates in the self-actualizing processes of the psyche through a number of models, including Developmental Theory, Transpersonal Psychology, General Systems Theory, and AstroPsychology. |
| | Experiential Health and Healing As a framework for advancing integrative medicine, the Experiential Health and Healing program actively engages learners in exploring methodologies for cultivating meaningful healer-patient relationships and practicing mind-body approaches to health and wellness. By combining allopathic medical knowledge with theory and practice in complementary modalities, participants develop a deep and personal understanding of both the content and context of effective healing. The curriculum integrates aspects of Eastern and Western medicine and focuses on creating a new paradigm of healing that is comprehensive in scope and holistic in nature. | |
| | | Holistic Thinking The Holistic Thinking curriculum is dedicated to educating the whole person. Interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning are applied to deliver active, experiential, cooperative, and culturally-connected learning opportunities to classroom practitioners. The instructional delivery system addresses significant and pressing issues in teaching and learning and is informed by both national and state educational standards. |
| Oral Traditions The Oral Traditions program focuses on the transformative power of the spoken word as a fundamental and essential vehicle for communicating ideas, affecting change, and creating and sustaining human culture. Storytelling is examined for its profound impact on both the ancient and modern world. Interpersonal dialogue fosters a learning environment where participants are engaged in applying dynamic speaking and listening techniques for use in diverse personal and professional contexts. |
| Irenic Studies Irenic Studies (Peace Studies) presents a commitment to conflict transformation as the foundation of a sustainable and cooperative global culture. The program examines the historical, philosophical, psychological and linguistic origins of peace, as well as their function on a micro-macro continuum. Scholarship is applied to the development and implementation of peace-building initiatives on the community and cultural level. |
| Organizational Leadership Organizational Leadership envisions leadership as a distinct profession grounded in trust, cooperation, co-creativity and stewardship. Language and dialogue are studied and applied as essential tools for innovation and generative productivity. Participants design and execute a unique “breakthrough project” that affects a high level of positive change within their profession and propels their ongoing contributions to their organizational culture. |
