| Oral Traditions is a 36-credit Master of Arts degree program that explores the profound impact of oral language on societal, political and cultural development as well as in personal psychology. Emphasis is placed on the ways in which oral language creates and transforms meaning. The program facilitates integrative inquiry into anthropological history, psychology and sociology, mythology and folklore, literature, and linguistics. Program participants cultivate speaking, listening, gesticulation, and interpersonal skills, and develop practical applications for oral language arts. The program is ideal for storytellers, performers, clergy, teachers, librarians, and other individuals who possess a passion for the spoken word. - Click here to view cohorts now enrolling.
